Get Ready for the 2024 Flu Vaccine Season!
We are pleased to announce that free and convenient flu vaccine clinics will be available at Ashley Centre Surgery starting from 3rd October 2024. Protecting yourself and your loved ones from the flu is more important than ever, and we are here to make the process as easy as possible.
Eligibility Criteria:
The flu vaccine is offered free of charge to individuals who are at higher risk of complications from the flu. This includes:
- Adults aged 65 and over
- Pregnant women
- Children aged 2-3 years
- Individuals with certain long-term health conditions
- Carers and frontline health and social care workers
For a comprehensive list of eligibility criteria, please visit the NHS website: Flu Vaccine Information.
Booking Your Appointment:
In the next couple of weeks, we will be sending out self-booking links to eligible patients. These links will allow you to schedule your flu vaccine appointment at a time that suits you. Please keep an eye on your text messages or emails for this important information.
If you believe you are eligible for the flu vaccine and have not received a booking link by 31st August 2024, please contact our surgery by completing an on-line medical request available at On line medical request form or by contacting the surgery on 01372 723668.
Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Please note that the flu vaccine will not be co-administered with the COVID-19 vaccine this year. For those eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination in autumn 2024, information on how to book your appointment will be provided separately. You can also check the NHS website or contact your local health authority for details on COVID-19 vaccination clinics and eligibility.
Stay Protected:
The flu vaccine is a safe and effective way to protect yourself and others from the influenza virus. By getting vaccinated, you are not only safeguarding your own health but also helping to protect vulnerable individuals in our community.
We look forward to welcoming you to our flu vaccine clinics and supporting you in staying healthy this flu season.
